Sanstha: Jain Vadhu Var Parichay Sanstha, Pune (“Sanstha”, “we”, “us”, or “our”)
Platform: Jain Vadhu Var Parichay Sanstha Matrimonial Platform
Effective Date: June 17th, 2026
The Jain Vadhu Var Parichay Sanstha, Pune is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your digital personal data. This Privacy Policy is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and is rigorously designed in alignment with the underlying principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.
This Privacy Policy must be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use. By registering or using our platform across web browsers, mobile applications, the Google Play Store, or the Apple App Store, you provide your explicit, informed, and unconditional consent to the collection, storage, processing, and sharing of your data as described in this document. If you do not agree with these practices, you must immediately cease using the platform.
I. Strategic Definitions and Data Classification
To provide total transparency and ensure the security of your information, the Sanstha legally and operationally bifurcates the data we collect into distinct categories:
- “Personal Data” means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data (e.g., Name, Email, Phone Number, Date of Birth), and may include your government-issued identification, biometric/photographic verifications, and specific community data (sect, sub-caste, linguistic as well as dietary preferences).
- “Platform Telemetry Data” refers to IP addresses, device identifiers, and operating system details. Crucially, Platform Telemetry Data is strictly independent of your Matrimonial Data.
- “Data Fiduciary” refers to the Sanstha, the entity determining the purpose and means of processing your personal data.
- “Data Processor” refers to third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosting providers, payment gateways, and communication APIs) who process your data in conjunction with or on behalf of the Sanstha to deliver requested services.
II. The Data We Collect
We collect data through specific, minimized channels to power our matchmaking ecosystem and facilitate secure platform access.
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Registration & Financial Data: To process your mandatory one-time registration fee, we collect your billing details. (Note: Payment card details are processed directly by secure, RBI-compliant payment gateways like Razorpay; the Sanstha does not store your raw credit card numbers or UPI PINs).
- Verification Data: Government-issued ID and photographs submitted via our ID verification dashboard to prevent fraudulent accounts.
- Profile Data: Your full name, gender, age, height, education, profession, income, and NRI status. You may provide a link to your LinkedIn profile at your sole discretion. Additionally, you may also specify if you have any medical history or existing medical conditions at your sole discretion.
- Community Data: We strictly limit community and background data collection exclusively to your sect, sub-caste, linguistic as well as dietary preferences to provide culturally relevant matching.
- Media: Up to 6 photos to enhance your profile and display you on the platform.
III. How We Use Your Data
We utilize your data to operate, maintain, and legally protect the matrimonial ecosystem.
A. Core Matchmaking Operations & Directory Listing
- To create, authenticate, and manage your individual access account.
- Matrimonial Data Utilization: We use your profile, Sect, sub-caste, linguistic as well as dietary preferences data strictly and exclusively to operate the platform's core directory functionality so that your profile is visible to other registered users.
- No Automated Profiling: The platform does not deploy algorithmic automated matching or push hidden recommendations. All active users are visible across the directory ecosystem. Your data is used solely to enable other users to manually discover your profile through user-defined, self-serve search filters (such as age, height, education, sect, sub-caste, linguistic as well as dietary preferences, location, etc.).
B. Platform Telemetry, Communications, and Security
- Service Notifications: We will use your contact information to send critical transactional updates, OTPs, security alerts, and directory notifications via integrated APIs.
IV. How We Share Your Data
The Sanstha is not a data broker. We only share your data under the following strictly defined operational contexts:
A. Third-Party Data Processors
- We must share specific data with third-party infrastructure providers (e.g., Hostinger) and API partners to provide you with seamless services.
B. Legal Compliance and Protection
- We reserve the absolute right to disclose any category of your data if requested by law enforcement, judicial authorities, or government agencies under a valid legal mandate.
- We will also disclose data to enforce our Terms of Use, investigate fraud, or protect the rights, property, or physical safety of the Sanstha, our users, or the public.
V. Data Storage, Localization, and Cybersecurity
A. Cloud Infrastructure
- The Sanstha utilizes state-of-the-art, globally recognized cloud infrastructure to host the platform.
- While we prioritize the localization of data within the territory of India in compliance with emerging regulations, you explicitly acknowledge and consent that your data may be routed, processed, or stored on secure servers located in other jurisdictions as required for operational efficiency, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
B. Security Posture (Limitation of Liability)
- We implement commercially reasonable, industry-standard cryptographic safeguards (including SSL encryption) to protect your data.
- However, transmitting data over the internet is inherently risky. The Sanstha makes no absolute guarantee of data security.
- We expressly disclaim liability for any unauthorized access, cyber-attacks, ransomware, or data exfiltration events perpetrated by malicious third parties that are beyond our reasonable, direct control.
VI. Data Retention and Your Erasure Rights
A. Retention Period
- We retain your Personal Data, Matrimonial Data, and Platform Telemetry Data for as long as your account remains active, or as long as necessary to fulfill the matchmaking purposes outlined in this Policy.
- We also retain basic transaction data as required by Indian laws & RBI Guidelines regarding your one-time registration payment.
B. The Right to be Forgotten (Explicit Deletion Request)
- We do not automatically delete your data upon mere prolonged inactivity.
- If you wish to exercise your right to erasure, you must submit an explicit data deletion request via the platform settings or by contacting our Grievance Redressal Officer.
- Upon verification of your identity, we will sever your access to the platform and securely purge your primary Matrimonial Data and media from the active directory, retaining only the minimal financial transaction logs required by law.
VII. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to the notification and full enforcement of the respective provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are entitled to the following rights regarding your data:
- Right to Access: You may request a summary of the personal data we process about you.
- Right to Correction: You may update, correct, or complete inaccurate personal data via your profile dashboard.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for data processing at any time. Warning: Because the processing of your data is fundamentally required to list your profile within the searchable public directory, withdrawing consent for data processing will require the immediate removal of your profile from the directory, rendering the platform entirely inoperable for your account and terminating your paid access.
VIII. Platform Eligibility
The platform ecosystem is strictly age-gated. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or process personal data from individuals under the legal age of marriage in India. If we become aware that a minor or an individual under the legal marital age has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to terminate the account.
IX. Modifications to This Policy
The Sanstha reserves the unilateral right to update, modify, or amend this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our operational practices, new database filters, or evolving legal frameworks. Your continued use of the platform after such modifications constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Policy.
